The treatment
Release where it's held longest
Deep tissue massage reaches beneath the surface. Your therapist uses slow strokes, forearm and thumb pressure, and patient hold-and-release techniques to work into the muscle layers where tension settles and stays — the shoulders, lower back, and neck.
It is the treatment for desk-bound days, training loads, and old injuries. The pressure is firm but never forced; your therapist checks in throughout and works only as deep as your body welcomes.
Benefits
- Breaks down chronic knots and adhesions
- Restores range of motion and flexibility
- Eases lower-back and neck pain
- Supports recovery after training

Will it hurt?+
Deep tissue should register as a firm, satisfying pressure that borders on a 'good ache', never a sharp, bruising, or breath-holding pain. Your therapist works slowly into the deeper layers of muscle and fascia, and the intensity is paced to what your body welcomes rather than pushed to a fixed level. You stay in control the whole time: say the word and the pressure eases or lifts immediately, because there is nothing to gain from enduring discomfort you dislike. Most guests find the deliberate, targeted strokes across the back, neck, and shoulders deeply relieving rather than painful, especially where desk tension has settled in. The opening consultation is your chance to flag old injuries, tender spots, or a preferred focus before we begin. If firm work turns out not to be your thing, we can dial it right back, or steer you toward our gentler Swedish or Aromatherapy massage instead. Your comfort always sets the ceiling.
Might I feel sore afterwards?+
It is fairly common, and nothing to worry about. Because deep tissue works patiently into muscle layers that have been tight for a while, some guests notice mild tenderness the next day, much like the pleasant ache you feel after a good workout. It tends to sit in the areas we focused on, such as the lower back or shoulders, and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours, leaving the muscle looser and freer than before. Drinking plenty of water, moving gently, and resting rather than training hard all help the body recover more quickly. A warm shower can ease things further. Not everyone feels this at all, and it is generally milder after a maintenance session than after a first deep treatment on long-held tension. If soreness ever feels sharp or lingers well beyond two days, let us know, and next time we can adjust the depth or spread the work across more of the body.
How often should I come?+
It depends on what you are treating. If you are working through a specific issue, such as a stubborn knot, a training niggle, or chronic tightness across the shoulders, a session every one to two weeks tends to make steady progress until it eases, because the muscle gets regular chances to release before it tightens back up. Once things settle, most guests move to a maintenance rhythm of roughly once a month, which keeps everyday tension from rebuilding and stops small aches becoming stuck ones. Those with physically demanding jobs, heavy desk hours, or a serious training load often land somewhere in between. There is no fixed prescription, and your therapist will give you an honest suggestion based on how your body feels during the session. The 90-minute treatment gives more time to work every layer thoroughly, while the 60-minute focused option suits maintenance on one or two problem areas.
Who is deep tissue massage best for?+
Deep tissue suits anyone carrying tension that lighter massage does not quite reach. It is a strong choice for desk-bound days that leave the neck and shoulders locked, for gym-goers and athletes needing sports recovery, and for chronic tight spots and old knots in the back, hips, and lower back. The slow, firm, forearm-and-thumb pressure is built to release muscle and fascia where tension settles longest and restore easier movement. It works best when you actually want that depth, since the goal is therapeutic relief rather than pure pampering. If you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or simply prefer gentle, purely relaxing work, tell us at booking and we will point you to a better fit: our Swedish Relaxation or Aromatherapy Ritual are gentler on the body while still deeply soothing. Every guest is matched with a same-gender, European-trained therapist in a private room, so you can speak up freely about pressure and focus.
What is your cancellation policy?+
You are welcome to reschedule or cancel your Deep Tissue session free of charge any time up to 24 hours before it starts. Within the final 24 hours, 50% of the treatment is charged, since a therapist trained for this focused, physical work and a private room have been reserved specifically for your slot. We try to keep it painless: no deposit is required to book, and moving your appointment to another day is usually easy when you give us a little notice. The quickest way to change things is a WhatsApp message to +971 56 174 6889, and we will lock in a new time for you. Deep tissue is popular after work and at weekends, so those slots fill first; letting us know early gives you the best chance of the time you want. We are open daily from 11 in the morning until 2 at night, so there is nearly always another window to slide into.
